VISS members interested in rifle competition shooting
should check the schedule for dates and times.
Initially, the main range facility will be utilized and targets will
be set at 200 yd. so that shooters can test their skills at off hand,
as well as, rest shooting in an informal way.
Shooters may bring their personal target holders and cardboard targets.
Most shooting will be done on paper, however,
metal silhouettes and gongs will be permissible.
When shooting metal, safety is the primary consideration, therefore,
lead bullets will be required to minimize ricochet and damage to targets.
Shooting will not be limited to smokeless high power rifles.
Black powder cartridge rifles, muzzleloaders and in line rifles,
both scoped and open sights are welcome.
